In Reception, children are provided with opportunities to explore and learn through play. Click here to visit our EYFS Curriculum page here.
Children learn in the inside and outside classroom throughout the year; therefore they will need suitable clothing for our very changeable weather, clothes which are easy for them to manage themselves. We recommend you provide your child with a book bag in which to keep the wonderful things they make and do at school. This includes school reading books, reading record and their library book, which they will be able to choose every Friday.
In Reception we introduce some formal learning as well as Learning Through Play, we cover, Phonics, Literacy, Maths, RE, PE and each week there is a theme that the activities are based around. All of the themes are on the curriculum page above.
